Duties: The Department for Education and Child Development employs two Conductors and provides a range of Conductive Education programs for students with physical and multiple disabilities from 6 months to 18 years. The department is seeking a qualified Conductor from 14 January 2013 (or earlier if possible). The successful applicant will be offered a contract up to 13 December 2013. There is a possibility the employment contract may be extended beyond this date or changed to ongoing employment.
Essential Minimum Qualifications: A qualification in Conductive Education recognised by the Peto Institute, Budapest, Hungary; Wolverhampton University, Birmingham United Kingdom or a degree in a relevant allied health discipline with a background in the provision of programs based on the principles of Conductive Education.
Special Conditions: Some out of hours work may be required. Intrastate and interstate travel as required. Currents driver’s licence and a willingness to drive is essential. The successful applicant will be subject to a criminal history check prior to confirmation of appointment (including from their country of origin). A successful overseas applicant will need to meet the requirements of the Australian Government Department of Immigration and Citizenship, Employer Sponsored Worker Scheme under the Subclass 457- Business (long stay) visa.
